1. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to operate the Pro upgrade and sync it across your devices.
- Anonymous Apple ID: When you purchase Market Maker Pro or restore a purchase, we use Sign in with Apple to obtain an anonymous, Apple-assigned user identifier (a "sub" claim). This identifier is not your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information. It is a random string that Apple generates uniquely for our app. We store this identifier on our servers solely to record and verify your Pro entitlement.
- Purchase metadata: We store the date of purchase and a payment reference (your Stripe session ID or Apple transaction ID) alongside your entitlement record. This allows us to verify and restore your purchase.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personal information. Game progress and settings are stored locally on your device only.
2. In-App Purchases
iOS: Pro purchases made through the iOS app are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store any payment card information. Apple's privacy policy governs all transaction data.
Web: Pro purchases made through the web app are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data. We receive only a session reference to confirm that payment was completed.
Your Pro entitlement is linked to your anonymous Apple ID, which means buying Pro on one platform (iOS or web) automatically unlocks it on the other when you sign in with the same Apple ID.
3. How We Store Your Data
Your entitlement record (anonymous Apple ID + Pro status + purchase date) is stored on servers operated by Cloudflare, Inc. in accordance with their data processing terms. Game progress, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
4. Third-Party Services
Market Maker uses the following third-party services:
- Apple Sign in with Apple: provides anonymous identity for cross-platform entitlement sync. Apple's privacy policy applies.
- Apple App Store: processes iOS in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy applies.
- Stripe: processes web payments. Stripe's privacy policy applies.
- Cloudflare: hosts our servers and stores entitlement records. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies.
We do not use any advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or third-party cookies.
5. How We Use Your Information
The anonymous identifier and purchase metadata we collect are used exclusively to:
- Verify that you have purchased Market Maker Pro
- Restore your Pro access if you reinstall the app or switch between iOS and web
- Process refunds or respond to purchase disputes
We do not sell, share, or use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the Pro entitlement system.
6. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The anonymous Apple ID we store does not constitute personal information under COPPA. If you believe a child has made a purchase, please contact us and we will process a refund.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your entitlement record for as long as your Pro purchase is valid. To request deletion of your entitlement record, contact us at the address below. Note that deletion will remove your Pro access from all platforms.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
