Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• No account for the core app: You can use Rugby Animator's core features on iPhone and the web without signing in or providing any personal details.
• Sign in with Apple (optional): If you choose to buy or restore the Pro upgrade, we ask you to sign in with Apple so your purchase can follow you across your iPhone and the web. Apple gives us a unique identifier for your account, not your name or email address. We use this identifier solely to recognise you and link your Pro status across your devices.
• Purchase records: When you buy Pro, we store a record that your Apple identifier has Pro access, together with a payment reference, on our servers. This is what lets Pro unlock on every device where you sign in with the same Apple ID.
• No analytics, advertising or tracking: We do not use analytics software, advertising SDKs, or tracking cookies, and we do not collect your location.

2. Your Plays and iCloud Sync

Plays you create are stored on your device and, when you are signed in to iCloud, synced through Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to your own private iCloud storage so they appear on your other devices and in the web app. This content lives in your personal iCloud account and is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We, the developer, cannot read the contents of your private iCloud plays.

3. Sharing a Team Sheet (Optional)

If you share a team sheet as a link, a copy of that team sheet is stored on our servers so the people you send the link to can open it in a browser. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share.

• What the link stores: the squad's name, colour and badge, the opponent, the date and venue, and the players' names as you chose to show them: "J. Smith" by default, or full names only if you turn them on.
• What is never sent: player notes, availability and positions stay on your device and in your own iCloud.
• Who can see it: anyone you give the link to. The link is unlisted and is not indexed by search engines.
• How long it is kept: the link is removed 90 days after the match, or straight away when you stop sharing it or delete the team sheet or the squad.
• Team sheet photos: a photo of a team sheet is made on your device and goes only where you send it.

4. Payments

The one-time Pro purchase is handled by two payment providers: Apple's App Store on iPhone, and Stripe in the web app. You enter your card and payment details directly with those providers, who process the payment. We never see or store your full card details; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, which we use to grant Pro access.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of services strictly to provide sync and purchases:

• Apple: Sign in with Apple, iCloud/CloudKit sync, and App Store payments.
• Stripe: payment processing for the web app.
• Cloudflare: hosts the web app, the small database that records Pro entitlements, and any team-sheet links you choose to share.

Each processes data only as needed to provide these functions, under its own privacy policy.

6. Children's Privacy

Rugby Animator is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Apart from a team sheet a coach chooses to share (Section 3), the only personal data we handle is the Apple identifier associated with an optional purchase.

Youth coaches may add children's names to a squad. Those names stay in the coach's own iCloud unless the coach shares a team sheet, and the default "J. Smith" style keeps shared names short.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
